  1. These are fantastic, creative and don’t break the bank. My daughter is in a wheelchair so costumes were always a challenge (she’s 25 now) but one year we really nailed it. I found a black fabric with small, glittering silver stars all over it and draped that over the tray on her wheelchair. I put her in a colorful peasant top that I cut down to fit her using the excess to make a head scarf on which I sewed “coins” for a gypsy look. I added costume jewelry as well. The coolest part was the “crystal ball”. I bought an inexpensive frosted globe light fixture with a base, pulled out the wires and painted the base then added “jewels” and glued the globe to the base. Just before we began trick or treating I pulled out several glow sticks and stuck them inside so that the whole thing glowed. We found the spookiest colors were green and purple. Her costume was a hit and for once the wheelchair was a costume asset!
